The Essex Podcast Festival is a brand-new multi-venue event, brought to you by Chelmsford For You, taking place in Chelmsford on 28th and 29th September 2024. The festival features a mix of live podcasts, networking and workshops hosted in various venues across the city centre. With Chelmsford being the Birthplace of Radio, the festival’s mission is now to establish Essex as one of the leading podcasting communities in the UK.
Each podcast will be staged in front of a live audience and features a mix of leading podcasters and guests from the county covering a range of topics including music, sport, comedy, witches, lifestyle, climate change, business, creativity and more. AN AUDIENCE WITH…AT THE STUDIOS
This first event of the Essex Podcast Festival features a full line-up throughout the day, boasting a mix of Essex inspired podcasts staged in front of you, our beautiful live audience.
Sit back and enjoy a range of exciting topics and guests, covering everything from music to witches, and football to Hollywood stunts.
Tickets will be available for each session at £5pp, or if there are a number of them that take your fancy we’re offering a limited number of day passes for £15pp, available to give you access to all live podcasts throughout the full day.
Dancing On Ice professional skaters and hosts of the Icebreakers podcast, Matt Evers and Frankie Seaman, come to you live from Riverside Ice Rink.
On Sunday 29 September, join this very special Sunday Morning Skate session, get those skates on and join Matt and Frankie on the ice, right here in Chelmsford!
An area of the Ice Rink will be sectioned off for a 30 – 45 minute Q&A session (starting at 10:15am) lead by the Chelmsford For You podcast hosts, Sara and Will. Get ready to ask the Dancing On Ice Stars all the questions about their successful podcast, upcoming series 2, their time on the show and even nab some skating tips.
Following this, Matt and Frankie will join you throughout the skate session.
AN AUDIENCE WITH…AT HOT BOX
For day two of the Essex Podcast Festival, we’re taking ‘An Audience With…’ to independent grassroots venue, Hot Box.
This event features an afternoon of live podcasts from some of the leading podcasters in Chelmsford and surrounding areas. The shows will be staged in front of a live audience and cover a range of thought provoking, entertaining themes and topics from comedy to taboo subjects, and impact of cancer to 80s music. Tickets are free for each session.
