PHILTH BLAKE

Concrete Canvas 2022: Philth was paired with Market Traders who were asked to comment on what they thought was special about Chelmsford. This piece was inspired by a comment noting that the Common Poppy is the County Flower of Essex.

Concrete Canvas 2023: The buff colour for this mural was painted using Graphenstone Paint which is an ecological and natural paints with carbon capture technology. The ribbon design is inspired by the flora and fauna at Marconi Ponds Nature Reserve.

Artists Profile: As a graffiti artist, illustrator and graphic designer, Phith's work is influenced by Art Nouveau, religious symbolism and scientific diagrams; using patterns and sacred geometric archetype as a way of exploring the nature of the universe.
